Meet Your Spanish Tutor
CERTIFIED NATIVE SPANISH TEACHER
Hello, I’m Sally Bigio!
I am a certified Spanish teacher born in Colombia (Cali), with more than 10 years of experience teaching Spanish to adults, teenagers, and kids. I am deeply passionate about my work because I truly enjoy teaching and I feel a strong sense of purpose when my students learn to communicate with Spanish speakers in a fluent, clear manner.
I lived in Barcelona for over 10 years, in addition to a year in Buenos Aires. My world travels across Spanish-speaking nations and cities means I can teach you the unique nuances of each place’s Spanish dialect – something you’ll be hard-pressed to find anywhere else.
I firmly believe that the number one way to learn a new language (and build confidence speaking it to native speakers) is to engage in real-world conversation. That’s why my classes are centered around everyday dialogues in Spanish from day one, while I guide you along the way so that you always understand what’s going on.
My passion for exploration has taken me to many European countries, from France to England, Belgium, and Austria. I’ve also travelled to the United States. No matter which country I visit, I’m always drawn to its unique cultures and traditions, and how cosmopolitanism creates a passion for learning new languages.
Not only do I love Spanish and travel, but I also enjoy learning about new cultures, as well as teaching others about mine. I’m also active and engage in sports such as riding my bicycle, paddle, and dancing bachata and salsa!
